Courses, Cohorts & the Digital Library

Courses let you share self-paced programmes, guided audio, and downloadable resources with your clients. Cohorts let you run a scheduled, live intake of a course with a group of students, live meetings, homework, and community chat.

Both are managed from Courses in your organisation dashboard, and both appear in the client’s Digital Library.

Live meetingsNo live meetings.Scheduled live calls, replays, attendance, and homework.

CommunityNo cohort chat.Optional internal chat room, WhatsApp group, or no chat.
What the client seesListed under My Journeys & Courses.Listed under Live Cohorts & Intakes.

A cohort always includes access to its underlying course. If a client enrols in a cohort, they get the course curriculum through the cohort and do not see the same course listed separately in their library, unless they also bought that course separately.

Tip: Create the course first, then create one cohort for each live intake. You can price the course and the cohort differently to reflect the value of live teaching, accountability, and group support.

2. Creating a course or digital offering

  1. Open Courses.

  2. Click New Offering.

  3. Enter an Offering Name and choose a Format:

    FormatBest forBuilder behaviour
Guided CourseMulti-step programmes with modules, lessons, video, audio, downloads, and homework.Sections and all step types are available.
Audio PlaylistAlbums, meditation series, and sound baths.Audio steps only. Sections are not available.
Single Digital AssetOne masterclass recording, workbook, or audio track. One step only. Sections are not available.
  4. Set a Custom URL Slug if you want to change the automatic one.

  5. Optionally tick Unlisted to hide the offering from the public shop. Unlisted offerings remain accessible by direct link.

  6. Click Create Offering. You are taken straight into the curriculum builder.

Important: The format is chosen at creation and cannot be changed later. It controls which tools appear in the builder.

3. Building the curriculum

The builder has three areas:

  • Toolbox on the left: drag a section or step onto the canvas, or click it to add it.
  • Canvas in the middle: the curriculum in order.
  • Properties on the right: settings for the selected step, section, or the offering itself.

Adding structure

  • Click Section / Module to create a module such as Week 1: Grounding & Breath.
  • Drag steps into a section, or leave them unsectioned as standalone steps.
  • Drag and drop to reorder steps and sections.
  • Click any step or section on the canvas to edit it in the properties panel.

Step types

Step typeUse it forWhat the client sees
Audio TrackGuided meditations, sound baths, or audio lessons. An audio player with track duration and playback progress.
Video LessonRecorded lessons, demonstrations, or externally hosted videos. An embedded video player with resume tracking.
Written GuideRich-text lessons, reflections, and written teachings.Formatted lesson content.
Downloadable PDFWorkbooks, worksheets, and companion guides.A download card with the file name and a download button.
Task / HomeworkAssignments for cohort students. The instructions, an optional worksheet download, and a submission form.

Adding media

For an audio or video step, choose one of these sources in the step properties:

  • Asset Library: upload a private audio or video file, or select one you have already uploaded.
  • YouTube / Link: paste a public or unlisted YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom link.

You can also set an optional duration. For video steps, the player remembers where the client stopped watching.

For downloadable resources and homework worksheets, choose a file from the Asset Library or paste an external URL, then give the file a display name.

Saving and collaboration

The builder saves automatically a moment after you make a change. The top bar shows Saved, Unsaved changes, or Save error.

If another practitioner is editing the same course, their presence is shown in the top bar. If they save while you have unsaved edits, you will be asked to either reload the latest version or overwrite it with your changes.

4. Drip releases and previews

Drip settings let you release content gradually instead of all at once.

  1. In the offering properties, choose a Content Release Schedule (Drip) mode:
    • All Immediate: everything is available as soon as the client has access.
    • Days After Enrolment: steps and sections unlock a set number of days after access begins.
    • Fixed Calendar Dates: steps and sections unlock at specific dates and times.
  2. Select a step or section and set either a Drip Offset (Days) or an Unlock Date & Time, depending on the mode.

How the unlock date is calculated:

  • For a self-paced course purchase, relative drip days are counted from the date the client was granted access.
  • For a cohort enrolment, relative drip days are counted from the cohort start date, so every student follows the same release cadence.
  • A step unlocks only when both its own drip rule and its section’s drip rule have been reached.
  • Changing a cohort’s start date shifts future relative unlocks for that cohort’s students.
  • Fixed calendar unlock dates are always absolute.

To let people sample a step before buying, tick Free Preview Sample on that step. Preview steps are visible to anyone with the link and are not affected by drip locks.

5. Offering settings and publishing

Click an empty area of the canvas, or deselect any step, to edit the offering itself.

Details

  • Offering Name and Custom URL Slug
  • Price: enter 0.00 for a free offering. Prices are shown in your organisation’s currency.
  • Description: used on the shop card and course page.
  • Cover Image: choose an image from the Image Library.

Access duration and expiry

Choose how long a self-paced course purchase stays active:

  • Lifetime Access (No Expiry)
  • Number of Days After Purchase
  • Fixed Calendar End Date

The expiry is calculated when access is granted. Changing the offering’s expiry setting does not rewrite existing clients’ expiry dates; use Extend Expiry on the purchases dashboard to change an existing client’s access.

Cohorts: A cohort enrolment is granted through the cohort rather than a standalone course purchase. The course’s expiry setting does not shorten a cohort student’s access. Use the cohort access grant’s Extend Expiry action if you need to time-limit or extend cohort access.

Lifecycle status

  • Draft: work in progress. Hidden from the shop and not purchasable.
  • Published: shown in the shop (unless unlisted) and open for enrolment.
  • Archived: closed to new purchases. Existing clients keep access.

Use the Publish Offering / Unpublish to Draft button in the top bar, or change the status in the offering properties. You can archive and restore offerings from the Courses list.

Previewing as a practitioner

Click Preview Course in the builder to open the client-facing view. Organisation staff see an Admin Preview Mode badge and can open every step, including locked or drip-released content.

6. The client experience

Clients find their courses in Digital Library.

  • Continue Where You Left Off takes them back to their most recent step.
  • Each card shows progress, and the Guided Course player shows a completion bar.
  • My Journeys & Courses lists self-paced courses; Live Cohorts & Intakes lists cohort enrolments.
  • Audio playlists use a dedicated audio player. From inside a course, audio steps use the same player.
  • Steps can be marked complete with Complete & Next Step. Watching a video to at least 75% also completes it automatically.
  • Locked drip steps show the unlock date or day.
  • Downloadable resources and homework worksheets appear as download cards.
  • Clients can view their purchases across organisations from My Purchases.

For the full cohort experience, including onboarding forms, live calls, chat, and homework, see Running Cohorts & Live Meetings.

7. Troubleshooting

A course does not appear in the shop. Check that its status is Published and that Unlisted is not ticked. Unlisted offerings are only available by direct link.

A client cannot open a course they bought. Check the client’s access on the purchases dashboard. Their access may have expired or been revoked. If the course has preview steps, they may still be viewing it in preview mode.

A step is still locked. Check the offering’s drip mode, the step’s drip offset, and the section’s drip offset. For a cohort, relative drip is anchored to the cohort start date rather than the client’s enrolment date.

A cohort is not showing in the shop. Cohorts are only sold while their status is Upcoming, Enrolling, or In Progress & Enrolling, the underlying course is not archived, and seats remain available. See Running Cohorts & Live Meetings.

The format is wrong. The format cannot be changed after creation. Create a new offering with the correct format and copy the content across.
