Analytics and Insights
LightStack includes three analytics views for understanding how your public site and business are performing:
- Page Analytics
- Income Analytics
- Storage Analytics
All three are available from your organisation settings.
1. Page analytics
Page analytics show how visitors find and use your public site.
- Total Views and Unique Visitors.
- A Views & Visitors chart with a choice of last 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, or year.
- Top Pages
- Internal Links Clicked
- External Links Clicked
- Top Referrers
- Top Countries
- Devices
Analytics are first-party and privacy-friendly: they track page views and interactions without relying on invasive third-party advertising cookies.
Reading the numbers
- Views count page loads. Unique visitors count distinct visitors.
- Referrers show where visitors came from, including your QR business card referrals.
- Internal links help you see which calls to action are used most.
- External links show which off-site links visitors click.
2. Income analytics
Income analytics show revenue from bookings, packages, courses, cohorts, and payment plans.
Choose a Period (daily, weekly, or monthly) and a From Date / To Date.
The page shows:
- Net Revenue after fees and discounts.
- Transactions
- Revenue trend chart.
- Revenue by Session Type
- Gross revenue, fees, and net revenue summaries.
Use this view to spot your strongest offerings and compare performance over time.
3. Storage analytics
Storage analytics summarise the media and files stored for your organisation.
- File Storage (Cloudflare R2): total size and file count, broken down by media type.
- Streaming Media: total video/audio length, video and audio counts, and private vs public assets.
Use it to keep an eye on storage growth and identify large media libraries. You can manage files in the Asset Library.
4. Troubleshooting
Page analytics show no data yet. Analytics appear after visitors browse your public site. New sites or low-traffic periods may show no data.
Income does not match a payment I see in Stripe. Income analytics are based on recorded transactions and may exclude refunds, failed payments, or transactions outside the selected date range. Use Payment History and Stripe for reconciliation.
Storage totals look high. Video and audio assets are larger than images. Use Storage Analytics to identify media-heavy libraries, then review assets in the Asset Library.
A QR scan is not visible. QR referrals use a tracking parameter and appear in page analytics as they are recorded. Allow time for the visit to be tracked and check the selected date range.
